For me, jewelry is a medium to express what I am passionate about. The themes you will find throughout my work are: lightness of spirit; expressions of love, gratitude and acknowledgment; and a connection to nature through stones, symbols and sacred geometry. My goal is to create meaningful objects that can be held, worn, felt and shared. Ultimately, I hope my jewelry will make you feel good about yourself, and take on its own meaning as it keeps you company throughout your travels. I incorporate the color red somewhere on all my designs - perhaps with a ruby, garnet, red string or resin - to symbolize energy and life. I have practiced a variety of artistic mediums, the healing arts and mystical traditions. My formal jewelry training began in the gold-smithing program at Studio Jewelers in New York City. I then completed the jewelry design program at FIT. I have since studied with many wonderful and inspiring teachers at the 92nd Street Y jewelry studio and I continue to learn everyday! Everything is handmade from my studio in New York City. |
